Lots of readers seem to have similar problems with house training their dogs, most of which I have dealt with in previous posts and in my Squidoo lenses. Here are a couple of questions posted recently:
“i have a 4 months old golden..got it one week ago..tried to train her by confining her to the kitchen..and placed newspaper with doggie scent sprayed on it..but didnt work..tried using tissue to absorb her urine and place ot on the newspaper..but she tore it all up..HELP ME PLS!!!”
“I have a Cavalier King Charles who is 1 year and a half. We have had a really hard time traing him to go to the bathroom outside. We would take him out let him do his business and then immediatly bring him in and reward him. That worked for awhile, but lately it seems to have gone all backwards. Also his routine has not changed. But now it seems that everytime we go to work and come home he always has gone in the house. We took him to the vet to make sure he doesnt have a bladder infection and that wasn’t it so im wondering what is going on. He never goes while we are home. Just when at work or out running around. He is let out plenty of times during the day. I am seeking advice on how to house break him. Thank you !!”
“My roommate has a 3 year old Corgie and she constantly goes potty in the house. I dont know what to do anymore as we are all fed up. please help!”
So here is my advice for anyone with similar problems…..

If the above free resources still do not help with your potty training problem, then either post a question with as much detail about the problem as possible (age and breed of dog, how long you have had them, how long they are left alone, where they are left etc..) or for really complex issues, consider purchasing the Ultimate Housetraining Guide published by Kingdom of Pets, which not only provides information on schedules and every conceivable method of house training your dog, it is also full of real life case studies to show how the methods worked in practice
